    Windows Xp Freezes!
I booted up my computer and right when it gets to the desktop screen the computer freezes. There was this message that said that my registry had been fixed before the computer froze. Can some one tell me how to fix this problem?also I have used ad ware to remove some spy ware but if this problem is related to spy ware then please suggest anything.

    Thank you,
    Ricky

    Re: Windows Xp Freezes!
First thing you need to do, is let us know what you did, or wats different about it now then before? Go back restrace your steps, eliminate all possibilities.
Could be nethink to tell you the truth, need to evaluate it.

Boot the system into "safe mode" if you can access it and then do a system restore to an earlier day in the week.

    XP freezes
    Hi,
    This is a registry problem.
Can you get to the C > prompt?
If so, type in SCANREG /FIX, then press enter.
Windows will repair the registry for you.
    Best wishes,
    fredg
