    Central AC freezes up
    My Central AC freezes up after running for a couple of hours. Ice forms on the evaporator coils. Thermostat is set a 75.

    If it was more than about 5 years old when the problem started, it may be low on Freon, and need serviced and recharged. Federal Law requires the technician to find and repair any leaks before recharging.
