Please help I Have Toilet Troubles !
Our toilet was leaking water. We went to change the wax seal and found that the old flange (I think that is what it is called ) was broke. It's the part that you slide the screws into to hold it to the floor. I have went to Lowe's and bought a new one to replace the broke one. That is where my problems occurs, we do not know how to get the old one up. Does anyone have any advise to help me with problem?

They make an insertable flange that you can insert directly into the drain. Otherwise, attempt to secure the toilet bolts with a (please forgive me because I have no idea what it is called) metal piece that can be drilled into the flange. Hopefully, someone else will answer your post with the specifics.

I think you are talking about the round metal piece that holds the toilet via the 2 mount bolts and is under the lip of the flange pipe. I saw this at Lowe's and its called an anchor flange. I'm not sure how it is installed though (pros please post). Hope this helps.

Repairing a flange is much easier then replacing one, especially if it's PVC and glued in.
You simply slide the curved piece under the broken slot and attach the closet bolts just like a regular installation. Instructions will come with the repair kit. Good luck, Tom
