    Legal Rights to the Dad
Okay 2nd part to my first question. My boyfriend has a court order to see his son and the mom refused to turn the child over to him. We contacted the police and were told that as long as we have a court order we could have went back to pick the child up. She is being selfish and alienizing this child from being with his father. Could she lost custody of him since he violating a court order?

    Hello again, Nicole:

You should keep all the parts of your question on the same thread.

No, she won't lose custody of him because she's violating the court order. She'll just be made to follow it.

Some police departments help parents whose visitation rights are being violated - like they actually GO with them to make sure a visit happens. Then there are some cops would rather eat doughnuts. I'm not too fond of those.

If I were you, I'll call the chief of police and ask him what kind of police force he runs.

Yes please keep the threads together.

And yes, the next time he goes to pick the child up, bring a copy of the court order. If the mother refuses to hand him over, call the police from the sidewalk outside her home. Either that or inform DCF and have them send an enforcement agent with you.
