I would never put anything with BLEACH on my puppy or dogs for that matter! You did not say the age of these puppies. Walmart sells flea combs for 2.00 that are safe and effective for all ages.

Is this a serious question? Would you consider washing your puppy with a product that has bleach in it? Why would you assume that a product with a bleach alternative be any less dangerous to your puppy's health. I am sorry if this sounds rude but your question has upset me tremendously. Regular Dawn dishwashing liquid is used when a puppy is too young (under 6 weeks old) to safely use anything else. Even then, you have vets that will disagree on this point. Some agree it is safe, some don't. If you have a puppy that is at least 8 weeks old, there are a few puppy flea shampoos & skin conditioners that are available for purchase from a pet store or Walmarts, that are safe to use on your dog. Read the package details to find out which ones are the safest. You need to speak with your vet about getting your puppy on a safe flea & tick monthly treatment.

Yes it was a serious question. All I wanted was a yes or no answer.
It was a bleach alternative and that's why I came on here and asked a question before I did anything. And I did not take him a bath with it don't worry.:

You said you use a puppy shampoo but is it one made for specifically to get rid of fleas? That is what you need to use. Your pup is also old enough to be given the once a month flea & tick treatments. Please do not buy the over the counter flea products, like Hartz,. They are too harsh and have a history of causing severe medical problems to dogs. It is very important to speak to your vet about what he/she recommends. A phone call won't cost you anything. Flea combs work but they don't get rid of the fleas already in your house. So, even if you brought the dog outside to comb her, you will still be dealing with the fleas in your furniture & their eggs that have been laid in the house and you will have fleas in your yard. Again, speak to your vet about the products he/she recommends for you to spray on your carpet & furniture. I like Siphotrol Plus II Premise Spray for it's effectiveness. It is sold by vets but you can find it online too. Make sure the dog is not in the area that you spray it. The dog can go back into the room after you vacuum it all up. Throw away the vacuum bag after you have vacuumed everything. Fleas will survive in the bags so you need to make sure it is thrown away, outside of the house, when you have completed cleaning.

Yes the shampoo is made to get rid of fleas.
So, I shouldn't use a wal mart brand to get rid of fleas
Its like a 3 step treatment. I'll tell my boyfriend to call his work vet to see what he/she says about that.

You are better off getting advice from a vet before using any over the counter product on a puppy. Have your boyfriend ask if the brand you bought is safe for use on a puppy and what regular monthly flea & tick treatment the vet recommends you use.

I don't think bathing a puppy in anything is a solution to the flea problem. As RubyPitbull said, you need to get one of the safe, modern products from your vet. Once you let fleas become established, you also need to treat the house and anywhere else the puppy goes with a product that kills both fleas and the eggs. Your vet is a great source of advice on all the products you need.
