    Dawn to Dusk Outside Light
How do you troubleshoot an outside dawn to dusk light. We put up a new one but it does not seem to be getting electricity.

If the light was on switch, switch will need to be on, maybe breaker or gfi tripped, wasn't on photocell or timeclock?
Will need power, to test dusk to dawn light.

My recently installed Dusk to Dawn light cycles on and off at night. It will turn on for a few minutes then go off. I have checked wiring, correct bulb? My light does sit slightly underneath a roof eve, can this be the problem?

Make sure to point the lights away from the sensor. In some cases too much light makes it go off, it resets and starts all over again. Are you sure you read the sensor? Some say, "this side down" and you need to loosen the screw and rotate 180 degrees. This was the case on the last one I installed. Instructions also tell you how many degrees down the sensor must be set. If the light bounces off an adjoining wall it will shut down.

I agree with ma0641, seems everything is working correctly, It gets dark, the light goes on, the sensor sees the light, thinks its daylight, and turns off and repeats as mentioned above. North is not a bad direction too point, as long as it doesn't see its own light.
It can be triggered from reflected light as well.
Worse case you could use a separate photocell, in a separate location so it will not interfere with the operation of the lights.
