    Dishwasher installation (electrical issue)
I'm installing a Bosch D/W and the genious who installed the earlier D/W cut the power line such that it is exactly the length needed to hook up the electrical which the D/W is pushed in and there is no slack.

The Bosh D/W requires the new cable to follow a track in the bottom of the unit vs. there being room to go diagnally directly to the box on the old D/W.

(imagine a diagnal line across a square, vs. having to go down oneside of the square and up the other side to get to the same point).

So now I'm left with a flexible conduit and wires that are too short.

Anyone know of an easy solution?

I don't even know where the box is that feeds the conduit sticking out of the wall. But it wasn't anywhere within a few inches of where the conduit exits the wall.

Can you extend a conduit? (don't think that's possible given the requirements for junction boxes).

Also, if I run the conduit under the sink, but a box there and then run new wire to the D/W does the new D/W wire have to be flexible metal conduit? Or can it be like just regular Romex wire?

    TIA!

Also you can put an outlet box with a receptacle on the end of the cable, and put a cord and plug on the dishwasher. Plug in the DW into the outlet and done.
