    Dishwasher Installation
    Dishwasher installation:

I recently purchased a dishwasher to replace an older one. I took out the old one and reconnected the eletrical and water to the new one. I turned the knob on the front of the dishwasher but no water would come through the solenoid where the water line is hooked up to put water into the dishwasher.

Thinking it might be the solenoid, I returned it to where I purchased it and got a replacement only to find I had the same problem with this one as well.

There is water coming from the line to the dishwasher and the pressure appears to be fine.

The motors run fine when you turn the know and take it through all the cycles.

    What am I doing wrong?

Check to see if there is packing under the float switch. If packing is there it will interrupt paower to water solenoid. Seems to me since 2 have the same problem, that could be it
