Maytag MDE7600AYW Elec Dryer Timer Does Not Advance
    To whom it may concern,

I have a Maytag Electric dryer, model #MDE7600AYW with Intelli Dry, My time has stopped advancing in ALL cycles. I have heat in all cycles, however it will run till the cows come home and my clothes are barbie doll size.

I replaced the timer to no avail (what a waste of $! ) I am beginning to suspect either the dryness sensor of the Intelli Dry control board itself.

T-stats check out OK. Venting is OK. This dryer has an Intelli Dry dryness control. According to the wiring diagram, power to the timer also flows through the circuit board for the Intelli Dry control.

If there were a way to place a jumper to isolate the Intelli Dry circuit board, I would be able to determine without a doubt if this was the culprit.

Please... any assistance will be appreciated.

It is either a venting problem or a bad tstat(thermosta)

It could be the thermostat that is located on the drum exhaust
You may also look at the resister it will be located between the heater circuit and timer motor.you can test it for continuity.

Look carefully at the board for any burnt spots

Did you find the problem: I have the same symptoms, and have not found the answer: the duct is clear; replaced both thermostats; the dry-sensor; the timer; sworn at it; etc.
