    Toilet Back Not Glazed
I found that the tank on my toilet has black mold on the back, it is not glazes and I feel water on it. Is it normal for a toilet to be made like this? Can I take the tank of and paint it or something? It is in a 10 year old Modular home are they maybe made low cost for Modular and mobile homes? Thank You

It's a manufactures choice as to rather to glaze the tank backs or notl As a rule the lower priced units are without glaze on the back. This does nhot affect the tanks performance in the least. Wash the back of the tank with full strength bleach for the mold problem. Good luck, Tom

Thank you speedball1 unfortunately the tank is so close to the wall it is really hard to clean the mold and it reforms in a short time. I have to shimmy a bleach soaked cloth behind it.
