    Her husband's sister-in-law could be her husband's brother's wife though.

    You would be related through marriage if that is the case.

    True, there are times brothers marry sisters and sisters marry brothers. So your husband's brother could have married your sister. Then you are both legally and through marriage related.

    Otherwise, it is related through marriage only.

    Wouldn't my sister be my husbands sister in law, just like his brother is my brother in law?
