I would like to even out my skin- Is Fair and Flawless good?
I am new to the site. I am black and I am looking to even out my skin tone on my body. My face is OK, but my body has different colors throughout. My backside is darker than the front, knees and elbows are much darker than the surrounding area, and chest area is very light in some parts and other parts it is dark. It looks very uneven.
I don’t want a bleaching effect nor do I want to get light necessarily. I just want to even out the skin. What products do you all recommend? I am interested in natural products.
After reading several of the posts, it looks like people like
Fair and Flawless
Herbal Inn Fairness
Women of Color Brightening lotion by Dr Jan Adams.
Can you tell me if you have had positive experience with these products or if there are other better ones out there?
Thanks

Hello LadyDina, Welcome to the group.
I myself have used Fair and Flawless but only the facial cream and it worked
Great.:)
A while back they had a buy one get one free special going on and I did
Purchase their Skin Soho™ White Tea Lightening Gelée. I planned on using
It to lighten up my arms and legs for the summer.
:o But I messed it up!
I only got to use the first jar a couple of times (not long
Enough to see results) and was in the process of moving, I put the jars away
And did not unpack for a while. When I did the gelee was now practically water! I guess the jars got hot in the box.
I put them in the fridge thinking they would firm up and go back to being
Gelee again but it didn't. I don't know if getting hot and turning liquid would
Make the product lose it's potency but I thought so and ended it up throwing
Both jars away. Almost $200 bucks down the toilet. Oh well...
Dr Jan Adams? Is that not the guy that was on those Extreme Makeover show? Yeah, I think that's him. He's a plastic surgeon right? Ithink I;ve seen him on the Discovery Channel about plastic surgery. So he has his own skin care line now?
I think I'll check it out...

Hi Nikkicute,
Thanks for your note. I will research further and check it out. I am not looking for drastic changes, just want to even out the skin.
Dr Jan Adams is the guy from Discovery channel. He does those plastic surgery before and after shows. I didn't see him on extreme makeover, he may have been on it, I just don't watch that program. Anyway I found out about his products on this program. I think his stuff is mild, nothing to drastic. They sell it at walgreens and I guess on his website too.
Do you have any other products you would recommend?
Thanks,

Your welcome! :)
Hmm another product?
Maybe the Fair and White Exclusive Body Lotion?
I have not tried it but it is a body lotion and much
Cheaper than Fair and Flawless.
I think it's hydroquinone free (if your looking for a natural product).
It's 17.6oz which is a big bottle!
It's just hard to find lightening products for the
Body. Face creams are all over but body lightening
Products seem hard to come by.
I'm sure if you look around you'll find the right one
For your skin. I too am in need of lightening the
Same area's as yours, including my back. I don't
Like uneven skin tone, but I will even it out soon.
Yes, Dr. Adams is from the Discovery Channel
And I just found out his skincare line. You'd think
His products would be stronger since they
Are coming from a plastic surgeon, if you want
Something stronger you'll probably have to go and
See him yourself.

Nikkicute,
Thanks for your comments. I ordered Dr Jan's products. I have never used any of these products before so I am going to try with something that seems to be relatively mild.
I heard negative things about the fair and white product, but I will need to research it further.
What frustrates me is that dermatoloists don't tell you these things, and these products are not widely available. Until the other day I never knew of most of these products.

No, I have never used the parfait.
I have not experienced my skin getting darker
When I stop using a cream, I just pretty much
Have gone back to color I was before I used the
Cream(wasn't using sunblock either).
I think using sunblock will prolong the lightening once
You stop using it. Fair and Flawless is not permanent
Skin lightening.

So you have to use fair and flawless indefinitely?
That is impossible to do. When you stop using the product, does your skin get darker or does it go back to its color before the cream?
Thanks

I think with any skin lightening product you'll have to keep using
It to for up keep. But I think once your skin has lightened you'll
Have to use it less and sunblock will help.
When I stop using any cream I always to back to the original color
I was before, I didn't get darker.
Did you get your Dr Jan's products yet?

I never used any skin lightening product before. I was concerned that if you keep using a product, your skin might become too light. I am only interested in evening out the skin tone so I was not planning to use it forever.
I ordered Dr Jan's products last week, but I still have not received it. I ordered from his website.
What are you using now?

I'm using Reviva Labs Skin Lightening Day and Night cream
Along with their Light Skin Peel.
2% hydroquinone in the night cream.
1% hydroquinone in the day cream with SPF 15.
The light skin peel is like a mask that you rub off once it's dry.

Hi I stopped using the skin lightening cream and I got darker than I originally was... does anyone know what I can possibly do to regain my original skin complexion... those I've told think because its summer that in winter it'll clear up but I'm very scared because it's not natural process like getting a bit darker in summer then clearing up over the winter... I don't know what to do I just want to be my complexion again...

Hi all, just to share that I've managed to overcome my patchy skin by using a moor-based cleanser. It looks like a soap bar. Not expensive at all. If you want to check it out, go to Moor-based Cleanser

purity12lover
Hi Lady Dina,
Just wanted to let you know that I have been using Purity 12products for a few months now, and I have NEVER had this kind of reaction from other people before. I work in retail and my customers will tell me how perfect and flawless my skin looks almost every week! I'm like floating from too much flattering. My co-worker told me the other day I look 30.. . I'm 43. My boss apologized for staring at my skin — he said it is so flawless! Haha! You can go to their website, I think it's http://if1s.com?134
