    Credit card judgment agaist me
I don't understand how a $300.00 credit card became over the limit of up to 2,000 this includes all interest from 6 years ago.I got sued and a jugdment was entered against me and I didn't find out until I went to withdraw money from my account .this collection agency claims that they mailed me and served me at the address that I used to live but no longer live there .I went to the court to file for a show cause I hope I didn't make a mistake in that . I also explained in writing that I was not served properly and that I wanted to see proof that this is indeed my account well in other words I asked for validation on this account do you think that the judge will allow me to request validation after a judgment was entered against me? And I don't live at that address anymore do I have any rights ?what typ of questions can I ask in my court date.is it really to late .did they really serve me properly?

You can file Motion to vacate the judgment for lack of proper service, File MOtion to Quash the garnisment against the account, that will prevent the bank from releasing the funds.

Your situation is pretty much the same as many other posters here. I suggest you spend some time reading through the other threads in this forum for ideas of your rights and what you need to do now.

    matrix231 disagrees: I didn't get much info.

First let me call your attention to the guidelines on using the comment feature found here:

    https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/feedba...ure-24951.html

Negative comments should be reserved for responses that are factually incorrect. Mr Yet's response was factually correct and good advice.

Second, It is not good practice to piggy back your question on someone else's thread. This tends to create confusion as to who is being answered. Therefore your question was moved to its own thread.

Third, when you have a question it's a good idea to browse around a bit first to see whether there are similar questions and whether you can find answers. It also helps in seeing how to ask questions. As I said in my earlier post your situation is very common and there are several threads dealing with it.

If there is anything you don't understand about an answer, feel free to ask specific questions. If you feel you need more details, ask for them. But don't give a negative comment to someone who gives you help.

Finally, please don't post the same question twice. If you have a follow-up keep it in the same thread.
