    Tax exemption
My daughter is 17 and currently working, I was just wondering can she get tax exempt on her payroll and if so will she owe anything at the end of the year considering she is a minor?

Your daughter's age is irrelevant. If she earns income over a certain amount annually, she will owe taxes and must file a tax return.

Now, if she works FOR YOU in your sole proprietorship business, she is exempt from Social Security and Medicare taxes.
