    H1B Married in Dec 2010 in India, Came back in Jan with Wife on H4 What is my status?
    Hi..

    I am on H1B. Got married in Inida Dec 2010 and Came back with my wife to USA in Jan 2011. She is on H4. What will be my status for tax filing 2010 year. Can I file as married and submitting jointly?

    Yes, you can file joint return as residents if you have completed substantial presence test. Your U.S. Tax Return: The U.S. Visas
