    Weight Lifting/bodybuilding / WILL THIS WORK ?
I am an average 40 yr old guy.. no big beer gut etc but I was never one of those guys when you take your shirt off women go "wow" either.. I am considering starting a weight lifting/bodybuilding program that I designed which is basically this.. I take the maximum weight I can SAFELY and PROPERLY handle on all major exercises ( I do know what they are ) and reduce it by 20 % just for extra safety so I can go slowly in both positive and negative resistance... every 5 days I'll add 5 lbs to each exercise.. Im talking a 5 day on 2 day off shedule.. my thoughts are at the end of a year with 52 weeks Ill have a basic resistance capability of 260lbs on all exeercises ( 52 weeks x 5 lbs per week increase = 260 ) PLUS whatever weight I started with.. what will this do ? Will I look fit and very strong/toned or is it too slow too small a progression to matter ?

I know diet so Im OK there.. Im considering this as I don't have a workout buddy so if I go this route I can't easily hurt myself.. but I want to know.. WILL THIS GIVE ME MY GOAL of the WOW BODY ?

    Thanks ALL
    Dale
