    Ah yes...

    Me too...

I've researched the causes of World War I enough to make my brain explode. I'm through with it for the day! Now to translate what I've found onto paper... that is the hard part!

Oh please... don't make me bring work to my coffeeshop... rah...

    Let me summarize:
    1. Nationalism (the unification of Italy in 1861 and Germany in 1871, the Franco Prussian War of 1870-1871, French bitterness over loss of German territory)
    2. Imperialism (increase of manufacturing as a result of the Industrial Revolution, Great Britain/Germany/France competing for African territory, the crumbling of the Ottoman Empire)
    3. Bismarck and his Alliances (3 Emperor's League, Triple Alliance)
    4. Collapse of aforementioned Alliances
    5. The Arms Race (German Von Schieffen Plan)
    6. African upheaval (and ensuing German support of Morroccan independence)
    7. Bosnia and Morrocco -the balkan Wars (192-1913)
    8. The Assassination in Sarejevo - June 28, 1914

Declaration of War July 28, 1914

Just to name a few... :)

Sneezy, I'm going to need more than a coffee after that... ;)

Know what MY answer to that would be?

THESE people had some stuff. THOSE people wanted that stuff. THOSE people said "Give it to us!" and THESE people said, "Oh yeah? We worked hard for this! You come take it!" So THOSE people did.

Actually, I'd love to take a Road Trip!

But alas, I'll probably end up spending a lot of time, whiling away in my tub with a glass of wine, a good book, and an intent on just relaxing. My Mom is coming this weekend, so we'll get some girl time in.

Other than that? Star Wars, the trilogy (4-6, that is. 1-3 don't count!)

    :) thanks! I will!

    Something funny about Mum...

She's been at her parents for a week and a half - long story, my Grandfather's Alzheimers is getting worse, but I digress... I called her the other morning and before I could even say hello she said "I WANT COFFEE!!!!!" I guess I come by it naturally! :D

    I love my Mum. :)
