Doesn't matter... the 15 year old is a minor and has no say in this matter. Its COMPLETELY up to the wishes of the mother (or both parents). And religion is every bit as good a reason as if she has blue hair... green skin... has red eyes... or a tail.

As a parent... any reason they give is a valid reason is above being questioned.

When I was young their was about 15 white kids and 1 black boy in the neighborhood. One parent told one of my best friends that since the 1 boy was a black baptist he would steal and not be safe.

So then he told all of us what his mom taught him about blacks. Guess who wasn't aloud to play with us after that. That 1 kid had no friends so he sat inside basically his whole childhood. So was that valid decision for that parent to separate her child from that kid for being black?
Judy has already made fun of the fact that I compare scenarios and that I ''preach'' about discrimination. So it won't surprise me if you do to after reading this

I know those scenarios are different but its still discrimination I've seen what it can do. You can recommend it to this op ,but ill never wish it on anyone.

But it still boild down to the girl ISN'T 15, and even if she was... the parents make the laws of the house.

When they are adults and move out and support themselves... they can do what they want.

Gamed, you're turning this into a thread about prejudice, or religious intolerance, and that's not what this thread is about. The sentence "Besides the age difference...." says it all. Yes, religion is brought up. Is it right of the mother to discriminate based on religion? Morally no, but legally she's in the right.

You have to get over the part about religion, it really isn't important to this thread. What is important is the fact that the OP's son is 15, and the girl he's dating is almost 18. That's what's important, and legally she has the right to say no to this relationship.

This thread is closed, but one comment from Gamed stood out. We doi not post what the OP wants to here, we post the facts or the truth. Very often we get into arguments with posters because they are upset that we didn't agree with them.

You were off base here. And then went further off base trying to defned a positions were you were wrong.
