    Instead of using lint to wrap around ourselves to keep warm, we would have to light candles fro our earwax.

    I always hesitate to jump in on biblical arguments, but actually, the bible says that God made childbirth painful, implying that if she hadn't "fallen" it wouldn't have hurt. I've always assumed it was an allegory explaining the pain and danger of childbirth... but then I tend to look at the bible in allegorical terms more often then not anyway.
