LOL I am definitely not swayed by peer pressure, but thank you for your concern, I will think about it, I do understand this will probably hurt my career choices BTU I still have time to think. But yes I will voulenteer at the SPCA in the summer.

OK my friend has her tongue peirsed and is thinking about the split I would say no. its one thing to get a peirsing, you can take it out and have a smalll scar. You won't be able to undo that. Just go with making you appearance reflect you without doing anything completely life changing. Because a tongue split could make it hard to find a good job.

No prob! I'm extremely happy to see that my post helped you so much and that hopefully I gave you a better idea of what you would be getting into if you chose to do this in the future.

Lol I hear you about being unique. I'm pretty unique too(well look at my name way2weird0 haha). I've been kind of working my way up as far as appearance. You know scaring people little by little haha. From make up, to coloring my hair which is all pink and blue right now, to piercings, etc. I like dating weird people too but damn they are too hard to find sometimesXD My boyfriend though, he wants horn implants, his eyes tattooed black, lots of tattoos, and I don't know what else. I personally wouldn't go that far but I'd still stick with him :)

OH AND DISCLAIMER: My posts are not meant to either encourage or discourage bod mods such as tongue splitting. Merely to inform.

Stick to the piercing Jinx! Eye tatooing? I like my vision thanks! I still don't know what these horn implants are though. I would be afraid that my only options would be do date a bull! LOL! Does that mean I'd never be able to wear red again? Haha!

Basically they're plastic ball shaped things inserted under your skin. This explains it a tiny bit better. Horn Implant - BMEzine Encyclopedia

    Well that's one kind anyway

I personally think they just look like boils or something. I don't really care for them.

Another kind is this Transdermal Implant - BMEzine Encyclopedia

Kind of... well really makes me cring >.< I don't know if my boyfriend was talking about the first or the second kind but if he were to decide to get them in the future after all, at least he wants really tiny ones. Still don't care for this either and he probably wouldn't end up doing it.

LOL I wouldn't want to tattoo my eyes, I have really bad eyes, I want laser eye surgery when Im old enough. But I believe the horn implants (from what I've seen) are these (not completley sure, didn't fully take the research) jellyish stuff? Maybe somehting like for fake boobs? And they put them under your skin (from what I've seen on YouTube, this guy got stars on his head) so you can see the shape. Or have have a girl tattoo with actual lumps for breasts (LOL). LOL date a bull, that gave me a funny mental picture

{EDIT}Oh, yes, way2weird0 answered already, srry for repeating

Oh and the eye tattooing thing, I don't think it would hurt as much as splitting but it seems waaaay scarier to have a needle coming towards your eye. Yikes!! >.<

I could never give up wearing red lmao.

Yeah, that mental image has been burned into my brain now too! LOL!

I think there is a difference between wanting to be unique, and then just being wreckless. I don't think some people that do this at a young age recognize the health concerns that could permanently affect them. Seriously, I know that most young kids think that they will just never get old, or they know it's a fact but they think it's so far off in the future, that they think what they do when they're young won't have any impact on their life.

How about a scenario like your son or daughters wedding, or your grandchilds batism for instance?. and I would like to introduce you to my mother/father!. she/he is the one with the tattoed eyes, split tongue, and horns!. would you like to come for lunch with us?

My tongue is split. Have a Surgeon do it, it will cost more (mine was $1000) but it will be permanent and you will have less (almost no) chance of complications. Make sure they don't just cut it. It should be cauterized and sutured as well to be permanent. Expect 1-2 weeks on eating real food again and being able to be understood while speaking. Your speech will be 95%+ normal by the end of 4 weeks. This mod is invisible, I've only had 1 person notice it who I hadn't shown it to, my parents haven't even noticed it in 6 months of weekly visits for Sunday dinner. The pain during the procedure is non-existent if you have a surgeon do it, the pain while recovering is small too. I used less than 10 of the 30 perks I was prescribed. The first few days are kind of rough though, Expect to be drooling nonstop for the first 3-4 days.

The procedure is reversible, but why would you want to. You should view something like this as permanent.

All of that said, I absolutely adore mine and I'm very glad I did it. I'm 31.. I wish I'd have done it 10 years ago.
