I am 71 years old and attend a church that I love, but in less than the one year I have been there, I have been hurt by angry people. I am a very positive and outgoing person and sometimes, that is viewed as a wave in the powers that be and/or the system that does not want to change.

All I can say is that I have followed God's words by not returning anger for anger, nor wanting vengeance because God says that vengeance is His. I have prayed fro every person who has betrayed me or disappointed me. I have also prayed for myself to make better friend choices for myself. I decided not to be around any angry people who hurt and gossip. God told us to get away from evil people.
I know that God loves me and I am lovable and my intentions are worthy.

Since I write poetry and do artistic endeavors, I have written some poems and made some things for people and both endeavors has begun to heal my broken heart

Just be patient, wait, and suffer the process as we are promised to be protected and secure in His love. One thing that came forth to me from God was what to do and what action to take as a response to a person's offense. I am amazed
That God's answers do come and you know it. That is why your peace will come in one day or for a long time. God's understanding will be revealed to you. Just stay in step with God's laws and God's love.
Keep on praying over your hurt feelings. Do something good for yourself or another. Healing will come.

For there are many words which increase futility. - Ecclesiastes 6: 10... I find Ecclesiastes to be useful in answering the question, "What does the Bible say about mean people?". A mean person is not wise. Why? That is what we learn in Ecclesiastes. "13 The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. 14 For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil." Sound good?

I've been going through the same thing where I currently work. The problem is that the person that doesn't like me is my supervisor. I have spent the last year and 4 months praying this prayer to God: "God please help me by either changing the situation at work., opening hearts to your word and your ways, or opening a door someplace else where I, as your child of God, can go to work and live my life in Glory to YOU."

I prayed this when I felt like He wasn't listening. I prayed this every day on the way into work. I prayed this every day on the way home. I prayed this on my knees on Sundays in church. Every time I prayed... I prayed this prayer.

God eventually answered my prayer - IN HIS TIME!! He has opened a door for me to move on to another place and take a bigger, better job with a organization where I can show others His Glory.

I've never raised my voice to her in anger. I've never showed her anything but all of the kindness God could give me to share. You have to remember to live above the madness and be the better person because you are a child of THE ONE TRUE KING!!
