It can depend on where you live. I know you have said you have the opportunity for a good paying job if you move, but have you actually worked out how much you are going to need to be earning? How good is good enough depends on what the needs (and wants) are. If you haven't already, might be a good idea to make a list of all the things you would need to paying on. Keep in mind, depending on where you live now, California is likely to be much more expensive.

Here is a site that will get you started on what is required to get parental consent:

Marriage Laws in the US by Age -- U.S. Teen Marriage License Laws

If you have other questions, be sure and ask.

Edit: misread your post, thought you were moving to California, but see you live in California. Wondergirl has provided you with information specifically for California... regardless, make that list of income versus expenses and see what you are looking at.

Yes... it doesn't matter if she is pregnant or not, you would still need parental consent. This is for your protection as well.

A girl could tell her boyfriend that she is pregnant, and that he is the father, but unless there is dna testing done after baby is born, there is no way to know for sure if he is actually the father or not.

Don't you bother reading the responses you are getting? You were told NOT to use the Comments feature for followups, to use the Answer options.

You were given links to websites that spelled out the requirements for underage marriage in your state and were given quotes from those websites. Yet you keep asking the same question. Read what we have told you!

But he is 16 and does not like being told he can't have his way, so he figures someone will tell him it is OK, if he asks enough, and then blame them when he moves out and gets into trouble.
