Tabbi, I am sorry you are going through all of this pain, but rest assured it is not permanent.

At 33 weeks all organs ARE developed. We are just waiting on lung development at this time because the lungs aren't fully developed.

Also, it's not unusual for your baby to be in cephalic position at 33 weeks.

Spoting in late pregnancy is not uncommon and can be caused by several factors, including just simply walking around.

Since this is your first, your doctor most likely wants you at the hospital when contractions are approximately 6 minutes apart. Do you know how to "measure" contractions? I'll be glad to help you if you don't.

If an early ultrasound gave you a due date, stick with that. It is more accurate than dating strictly by your periods as we measure bone length and density, etc. to determine fetal development.

All of your symptoms are very common in late pregnancy. At this point, what I tell my patients is take warm baths if your water has not broken. Tylenol every 4 hours as necessary for pain and discomfort. Tylenol Extra Strength and Tylenol PM are acceptable as is Benadryl to help you sleep.

As an aside... the ER is afraid of pregnant patients. They all get sent to Labor and Delivery. At 33.5 weeks the L&D Department is going to do all they can to stop the labor as the baby is not ready to breathe on it's own yet.
