[QUOTE=ChihuahuaMomma;2485004]I think that changing in front of a child until they are 4-5 is okay, after that they get curious. QUOTE]

When my daughter was real young she would follow her dad while he was changing his clothes after work. He would go in the bathroom to clean up, and she would be right behind him.
One day she came running out of the bathroom to tell me that "daddy had a funny looking po-po" I told her daddy's was different because he is a man.
I told him what she said and so there was no more changing in front of her or letting her follow him in the bathroom. The first time he closed the door on her she was so upset.
I told her 'daddy needs privacy when he goes potty and changes his clothes"

My niece and nephew know their separate bits. My Nephew knows he has a doodle my niece calls hers a diddle. They shower together and they know boys like daddy have doodles and girls like mummy have diddles.

A few times my niece has asked me if I have a diddle. Eventually she will find out its not really called a diddle. But it works for now.

Is this inappropriate? [ 8 Answers ]

Can someone please please help - I am so worried - can't think of anything else. I need opinions on this, because when I was young I was abused by my father, so I think that has clouded my judgment on what is appropriate and what isn't. What I mean is I am thinking that I might be thinking it's...
