Sadly, because it was April and a freak snow storm, it only lasted a day or two, then it melted away.
That's really the only time that we're able to build stuff like that. When it's -20 C the snow doesn't stick together, so you can't even make a snow ball. :(
The kids had so much fun that day, it made the snow storm worth it. :)
Still, it was a shock. April is spring!

Oh here is one from a few days ago :)
Psst. Did you catch the deer under the tree? They are like neighbourhood pets here. Walk around the streets and in your yard like nothing :)

Muddy, those are great.
Get ready to be jealous. No snow here yet. Nope, none.
It snowed a while back, melted, and now it's beautiful weather. So much so that I can't believe it's November.
Now that I've said this it will be -30 tomorrow and 2 feet of snow will fall. Just watch.
Want to bet? ;)

I love snow, I think I was born for it.
Soon, if I get the authorities clearance for visa, I may be in Canada :)
Be prepared to ward off the stranger, who will be roaming around your yard, trying to get the snaps of your kids. Hints* Possibly may be disguised as Santa!* :D

Come on down, or is it up?
We just had a blizzard so the snow is deep and there's plenty of it. The front yard looks like a mountain. It's also around -25C right now and it's supposed to get colder throughout the week.
Yup, got to love Canada. Brrrr.

First two are out the front door - it's a little gray and hazy out, not really pretty...
The last one is through my screen door... looking out on the pool...

Not much of a picture for me. 1/2 block away is a cornfield and another 1/2 block from that is the woods. When I decide to put batteries in my digital camera I'll take some. Right now there is no corn as it was harvested back in November.
Now, had you said back door that's a different story. I have a great golf course view and then the surrounding woods to contend with to the west.
