    Hi Weldon,

    You say the heater is instllaed in 2004, I found the following link, your heater has 6 years warranty on parts and the tank, it doesn't hurt to call sears and talk to them, see what they say,also open the 2nd link it is owner manual will show where to set your gas valve, and if need any more trouble shooting good Luck.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I have a sayco 300 bath and shower mixer,it was leaking water, when I shut off it still keep dripping, I change the washers on both the hot and cold tap, and also the washer
    That valve that change from bath tub to shower,now I start back I am getting water when I turn on the shower,and water coming from the tub pipe as well,please help me,
