I stopped posting on this message board as I came for some advice, I felt that the majority of people where very helpful, and they did help me through a rough week. So thank you for that, however, telling me my girlfriend was cheating, had another man etc, I didn;t feel that was helpful, and it made me worse.

I'd like to update everyone on the situation. On Friday night, she got in touch, she apologised for what she had put me through, she told me she loved me and we are now happy as ever again. What caused all the bad feeling i still don't know, but its in the past, and we can both look forward again.

The weekend was great, but added to my bad week, my brother was stabbed eleven times in his back and once in his face on his way home from his night out on Friday. All in front of his wife. The people have been caught, and he was taken the hospital where he underwent surgery. He is ok and recovering at home.

I'm sorry that because I told you what you didn't want to hear you found it unhelpful and made you worse, just ask yourself is this because I confirmed what you suspected yourself? Surely you would want an array of thoughts on your situation otherwise you wouldn't have posted on a open forum? If you just wanted fluffy answers telling you what you wanted to hear then I can't really see the point..?

I suspect your girl got played and then came crawling, that's just my thought.

You have now given her a green light that she can basically do what she wants and you have her back without any explination and carry on as normal.

Also if you didn't have a shadow of doubt in your girlfriend why are you reading what I've written?

Just be careful Jimm, I have seen first hand what even the nicest girl can be like, a friend of mine has a different girl every weekend and ALL of them have got boyfriends, I swear that is the truth. Some of the stories my girl tells me about what the girls she works with are up too behind their guys backs would honestly shock you.

I always follow the golden rule now and that is 'They only get one chance', makes life a lot more simple.

Sorry to hear about your bro, I hope that he is OK and good job they caught the guys that did it!!
