I guess he forgot that he was going to use some existing wiring in the walls already, and didn't check to see what it was.

If this light and switch were on an existing 20amp circuit, and he moved them to the new circuit, I'd be interested in what happen to the rest of the original circuit.

There is an outlet, and 1 switch.
