    So you think no need to re-give advanced notice? I had mentioned it weeks ago and I was told it was OK... no need to bring it up again then given the change in circumstances?

    Nope. Unless there was a clause in the lease that prohibited short term guest, oh wait, you don't have a lease ;) So they can't prohibit short term guests.

    But even informing them about it, you sort of asked their permission, permission you didn't need.
