    Cows are smelly and messy.

Get a courier to run for milk when you're out--it would probably be cheaper than a cow.

Do you do the "Three snows on a Robin's tail" thing? I can't wait to see a robin too! Then I know it'll only snow three more times!

I've never heard of the "Three snows on a Robin's tail" what is it? I like the idea of a courier getting me milk, can it be a hunky, gorgeous courier or would that be pushing it?

Synnen, I do have an unrelated question and since you're here on this thread I thought I'd just ask you instead of sending a private message or starting a new thread.

I am fairly new to this site, is it okay for me to request that someone not use text talk and all caps on their post? I hope it is because I just did it. Don't worry I was really nice about it. I just can't stand any more text talk, I'm to old to learn how to decipher it. Also, the all caps is hard to read and a bit rude. I hope I didn't cross the line, I'm just so fed up with it.

I think requesting no text talk is an AMHD rite of passage...

    That and stupid dancing colours.

To the coffee and the hunky man...

    Mmmm...

That meeting was brutal... NO amount of coffee would have prepared me for that... rah...

But... Post 216 is becoming a favorite... ;)

Nope, not unrelated... because... if people would simply have the courtesy to not use the "dancing colors" (love it Tempy) and the idiotic text talk, we wouldn't have to resort to so much coffee to interpret...

Ok, it's a stretch, but I'm the OP! It's my coffeeshop, darnit! :D

As long as you're polite about it, it's fine. I do it all the time, especially in Adult Sexuality, where I have to determine whether someone is 18 or older or not.

Basically, the tradition of three snows on a Robin's tail is just that--once you see a robin, it will only snow 3 more times before spring comes.

    It's generally pretty accurate :)

I've never heard that, Synn! Crud... I saw a Robin the other day... does that mean there are two more snows? Nashville was almost shut down Saturday with the freak snowstorm... all 6" of it!!

Being a Yankee, I'm not afraid of the snow, nor am I afraid to drive in it, but golly! The people around here are crazy!

Course, the snow was gone Sunday and it is now a beautiful 55 degrees...

Darnit, where are the Robin's? I cannot stomach the idea of it snowing even once more much less three. I hate snow!:D

As for the request to stop using text speak, I was polite about it, which is new for me.;) But the request went ignored. Oh well I tried. I've got to start following my own advice and stop reading posts that irritate the heck out of me. Where's my coffee? I need another cup.

Hey, if I do follow my advice then I'll be answering allot less posts, maybe I can finally catch up on my laundry. Why would I want to do that?

Going to make another pot. Cheers to you all my coffee loving buds.

I haven't seen a robin yet... but it's supposed to be beautiful the next few days, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

One thing I miss about Texas is sitting on the deck in the morning with my coffee, watching and listening to the birds.

EDIT: Alt--the "report inappropriate post" is your friend in that case. You've tried--now bring it to a moderator's attention.

    Thanks Synnen.

I have a deck but I live in Canada so I only get to enjoy it for 3 months (if I'm lucky). Summers here can be beautiful but winters are harsh. We actually had a few weeks were the weather dipped to -35 degrees celsius, not sure how to convert it for you guys, but just let me say, it's darn cold.

HC - You're lucky, I have yet to see a Robin. Heck, I'm so desperate for spring I'm even looking forward to the Seagulls coming back. If they get into my garbage again this year there will be a few less coming back in 2009.

Today is turning out pretty nice though, I can hear the snow melting off the roof. I'm not getting too exited though. If there's one thing you learn when living in Canada it's
"If you don't like the weather, wait a minute." Really, it can snow, rain and be sunny all in a 24 hour period. I kid you not.

    More coffee for me.

Well, I've got to go pick up my little rug rat from kindergarten. Talk to you all later. Enjoy your day and keep the coffee pots brewing.

... I'm beginning to think that maybe I should lay off sbucks for a little bit.

Economy's doing horribly. People are slowly starting to cut back on their daily expenses... for me, I calculated that I spend about $200 a month on coffee alone.

... is it a tough decision? Absolutely.

... you're right. You've all convinced me. I just won't go out to eat anymore. Coffee is one of those "necessary" goods... right next to clothing and shelter.

    That was a close one.

Phew! That was a close one Sneezy! I've thought of it too... but I don't eat out at all, so its my one vice... and for me, its SURVIVAL! :)

Ah... being the college student living in the city, I tend to go out to eat something like 3 - 4 times a week... and most of my friends are from well-to-do families where their parents pay for everything... so... I end up spending $20 - 30 a dinner. It's painful.

... not to mention the ever-so-climbing gas prices...

I'd rather cut off a limb than give up my coffee. Honestly I can live with only one arm, but I need my coffee.

Coffee is necessary for the health and well being of everyone around me.

Hee, Hee, you think I'm funny.:D

I love my coffee, it is a necessary evil that I require to be a pleasant person. I'm not always pleasant on this site, I sometimes get a bit carried away and don't stop myself from sending a post that I know isn't very nice. Let's face it though, some people really need a good dose of reality, why should I sugar coat it?

Having said that, can you imagine how nasty I'd be if I didn't have coffee? Perish the thought, I'd be kicked of this site. That would be tragic, maybe not for all of you, but I'd miss you guys allot.

Don't make me leave please, I promise I'll be good. Or at least I'll try.:o
