This would federalize local government labor practices

Seriously we may have well just elected Kam the Sham if we were going to adopt radical lefty policies. This would completely undermine the power of states like Florida an Texas to make their own labor laws. It would also be a boon to educators who want to force states to comply with radical agendas.

I know the thinking behind this . Trump made inroads with labor support. But that was because the unions were not looking out for the rank and file. The best way to get the worker's support is to create jobs . It is a big mistake to think sucking up to unions will do the job.

Another strange selection for Surgeon General . Dr Janette Nesheiwat is likely to butt heads with RFK Jr . She praised Fakebook's censorship of anti-vaxxers .

It's ok to have differing views on the issue. Frankly I think RFK Jr is mostly nuts ;especially about childhood vaccines.

The issue is that she praised Zuckerberg's censorship.

He's got RFK Jr who wants universal health care and abortions until birth
His Labor Sec is a pro-union activist.
He has a Soros acolyte for Treasury.
Tulsi Gabbard is only lately a Repub. She was Dem most of her career and holds onto many of those values. She will likely butt heads with Marco Rubio who is a war hawk.

Lori Chavez-DeRemer for Sec Labor is by far the worse pick Trump has made. I expect that if if comes down to a confirmation vote in the Senate she will get more Dem votes than Repub.

How can you have a Dept of Government Efficiency while you have someone at Labor who would require the government to collectively bargain with government workers? It is hard enough to fire a Federal Worker as it is .

Think about it . Even FDR opposed the organizing of government workers . One of the most influential union leaders George Meany opposed the unionization of public employees; Unions purpose is to share in the profits . Governments don't have profits . It is a conflict of interests for politicians and unions to collectively bargain with taxpayers bucks .It crosses a line. The PSU becomes a political organization supporting the politicians that will give them the best deal . It should be outlawed ;not supported by a conservative government and especially one that intends to reduce the power of the leviathan state.

Trump got all these appointments announced before Thanksgiving . I assumed the intent was to get them all confirmed before his term starts so he can hit the ground running.

But this is not likely to happen because Trump is dragging his feet on signing the paperwork necessary for the FBI to do background checks . I can understand his reluctance given his history with the FBI . But this is a process I don't believe he can ignore.

Raw milk is already readily available I pass farm stands here all the time that sell it. There is no restrictions except for the interstate sale. To drink it or not is a choice . I thought the left likes choice. It is highly unlikely that he would "force " us to drink it . I don't think Trump would stand for it . He loves his Micky D's shakes.

The Amish drink raw milk by the gallon. Many people on farms do . It is the mass production of raw milk where you have to be concerned with pathogens where homogenization is highly recommended . But show me anywhere a link that shows any thought of mandating raw milk consumption.

One can easily argue the benefits one way or the other . That is why information should not be censored. Present the best case and let the people decide. Fie on the nanny state running our lives !!!

An amazing thing ;the news is plastered of one recall after another and all of it is from factory processed food. None of them are from raw milk.
The other truth that the industry does not like to discuss is that there are licenses for the distribution of raw milk and the standards are much more stringent than any foods processed for mass distribution.

Yeah the warning are real and the government should continue public awareness. But the risks are way overblown .

Most of the fears are carry over from the early 20th century when there were epidemics of bovine tuberculosis sweeping the US and Europe . In a roughly 25 year period there were 65,000 deaths due to consuming raw milk that contained bovine TB (bTB) . But in the US that has all but been eradicated and the processing of milk destroys many of the healthy nutrients along with food borne bacteria .
Vitamins; immune enhancing components ;and enzymes get destroyed or reduced .

The risks should be a part of the public service information. After that let the public decide.
