    AC, high temperatures and tropical aquarium.
    Hi,

    I live in Aruba and I recently bought an Alaska inverter (24000 btu) for in my living room of about 4500 ft3.

    The temperatures in Aruba are generally high (about 89F and up).
    At night I have a separate AC in my bedroom. I was wondering if during my work days and at night it would be much more cost efficient to turn the AC off or to keep it running at 86F?

    I also have a tropical aquarium and the fish were having trouble with the high temperatures, too extreme ups and downs are not good either though. I want to keep the fish healthy and happy too, but I don't want to triple my current (before AC in living room) electricity bill because of them..

    Any advice is welcome!

    You may want to revise your living room size, 4500 cubic feet is bigger than a very large single family home is.

    20' x 22.5' x 10' =4500 ft3.. Big room but a small house.
