    ETG alcohol testing
Hi I'm kind of new to this probation ordeal. Well I last drank 4 to 5 shots of fireball on Friday and had one beer and stopped drinking around 11pm.. Its been 68 hours from last drink on Friday up until my ETG screen that was given at 830 on Monday. I drank a lot of water on Sunday And all day Monday even up to the hour of testing. What's the chances of coming back positive?

Probably not. The water does very little and could cause you to be failed for drinking too much of it.

So what should be expected if it comes back diluted?

I've already had a diluted screen before and was just told that I would be charged extra money if they had to do extra separating of the sample again so if its too diluted does that mean nothing showed up? Alcohol wise

Repeated test failures for dilution will not only cost you money, but getting hauled before a judge to review your probation/parole/employment/program status, because you are considered deceptive and non compliant, as well as uncooperative.

You better heed the "more money out of your pocket" warning because it will get worse after that. Gee whiz guy after 68 hrs, there is probably nothing to cover up, so why make them suspicious of you? Like your hiding something!

Which according to this.....you are! What did you drink during the days prior to Fridays party? Habitual heavy drinker don't pass the alcohol through their system as well or fast as light moderate drinkers and if you are on a no alcohol testing program you run a risk of failure.

If you are new to the testing process, you better abstain from alcohol until you get off this probation.

I will agree, diluted as often considered failures, and that you were trying to cheat the system.

They can revoke for a diluted as easy as for a normal failure.

Drinking a lot of water, excess, is the worst thing to do.

"Probation ordeal". As if this is someone else's fault. You caused the ordeal and, based on previous posts, have obviously ignored YOUR problem if you have had past dilution issues.

New to probation or not, you knew that you weren't supposed to drink, yet you did. What do you expect to happen? There are consequences to your actions.

Drinking a lot of water can cause a dilute, which in turn makes you look like you are trying to hide something. A dilute can mean a fail.

As a person who has lost a family member to a drunk, I feel you get what you deserve because you haven't learned the first time.

I own my mistakes. And I do take it seriously. I drank because I have an issue with emotional situations a family member passed early Friday morning. Thanks for everyone's feedback
