So my question is this... Over the course of an 8 hour period I consumed 7 regular sized bud lights while literally digging ditches/ doing dirt work. Basically, work a while, stop tale a break, have a beer and get back to work. My last drink was consumed about 25 hours before I tested... 6pm today. I am beyond worried about the surprise etc test today. I drank a TON of water, took 80 mg of lasix and did the whole energy drink/ protein bar suggestion as well. What are odds I squeaked by this dumb move?

At 25 hours after your last drink, and 7 drinks total, you'll likely fail. Either way you'll likely fail since you drank more water than normal, took lasix, energy drinks etc. That will likely cause you to fail for dilution or trying to fool the test.

If you pass this, consider yourself very lucky. From what you wrote it looks like a fail either way.

What do you stand to lose when you fail?

Sad thing is, you had a small chance, slim as it may have been and it was slim, to pass if you hadn't done everything you could to fool the test. They're not stupid, they know what people do to fool the test, and they test for that as well.

I really see no way for you to pass this.

The only way you will pass is if the EtG gives a false negative, abut a 1:1000 chance

Just an update. I passed, not one word mentioned about dilution or EtG levels. Just spoke with my PO and they confirmed all tests have been negative.

That's awesome! Hopefully this has given you a little perspective on your situation and the stresses that can be avoided. I hope you've learned your lesson and will stay sober for the period required in your parole agreement. You can get blind arse drunk afterwards, but it might be worth your time and sanity to be sober until your parole is over.

I am not surprised. I am an attorney monitored by my state bar. I have been tested several times within 24 hours of drinking 4-6 beers and tested negative. My testing site uses 250 as a cutoff.

Just because you passed this time, I wouldn't count on it always being this easy just because no warnings came from your PO about if you passed easily, or barely. They may well be giving you enough rope to hang yourself in the future, and it's easy to screw up, and get carried away because you got through this test with no bad news.

You are NEVER in the clear when you take such risks because ONE fail ruins all those passes when you are on probation.

talaniman is correct. If you drink more that 4 or 5 beers you MAY be OK, but if you go beyond that even once , you will likely get caught.Abstinence is the only sure way to pass.

The problem with this is that everyone is different. There are too many unknowns with you and the original poster. You can get away with drinking several beers and still passing the test. That isn't common, in fact most people will fail horribly in this case.

The problem with saying what you're saying is that it will give people more justification to ignore and break agreements that they've made. The consequences are usually negative and life changing. Please think on this.
