    Bloating , hard stomach , clay colored stools
    I am 54 years old, my stomach is bloated and very hard , my stools are narrow and a funny color, with a strange smells(thats gross I know sorry) but my Dr keeps telling me I'm just fat , what to do?

    Regular brown stools indicate a normal amount of bile.
    Clay stools MIGHT be (commonly, but not always) caused by problems with the gall bladder. But also the liver, and other conditions are possible.
    Medications, even ibuprofin, can cause it too.
    I'm surprised that your doctor just said it's because you are fat.
    Many doctors have a prejudice about fat, and it's understandable, but not excusable.
    Find another doctor.
    I wouldn't consider it an emergency if you don't have pain, vomiting, or it hasn't been very long.

    Just your average stuff I try veggies, I love salads, but I will indulge in something fatty anf fried , I live in the south everything we eat is fried, lol.
