Shoulder question after fall on roof
Thursday I was working on a roof and hit a wet slick spot. I slipped and landed hard on my shoulder on the roof. I did not fall off the roof but since then I have severe pain like right behind my neck and behind the right shoulder blade. I have range of motion but cannot lift my arm nor hold anything above my head. I also have a tingling painful sensation on the top/back part of my biceps area and a weird feeling, almost like numbness, on my muscle part of my lower forearm. I cannot lay on my right side. I still have strength in my arm but even have some sharp pain in the elbow. Does it sound like I tore my rotator cuff? I do have cervical spine issues that need addressing prior to this but this pain is new and unique which is what has me worried. I cannot miss work and am afraid to go to the er for that reason.

I am 31 years old this afternoon I started feeling sick to my stomach and right after that I started getting sharp pains in my left arm. What should I do? Should I be concerned?

You should go to the ER, or at least get some medical attention. Could be nothing, could be something.

A bit early age but classic for MI.

Roof truss question? [ 1 Answers ]

So I had an engineered roof truss made for me by a local company for my garage and they are on a 28 foot span with no load bearing walls. The truss has a room built into them that is 14feet wide and the bottom chord is only made of 2x6 with a gusset plate in the middle of the floor span. So now...

Roof Loading Question [ 17 Answers ]

I am in the process of fixing up an in-law unit built by the previous owner. Unfortunately, the roof wasn't well constructed. It basically consists of 2x4's running off a ledger attached to the adjacent garage which are then notched and resting on the top plate of the in-law unit (see pictures). ...

Vent out roof question [ 1 Answers ]

Hello all. I had a question about the vent coming out of the roof. In my kitchen, I have a cathedral ceiling framed with 2 x 12 joists. I was planning on bringing a vent from behind my sink straight up through the roof. I have a 18" overhang, and this will place the vent close to the edge of...

Roof venting question [ 1 Answers ]

Is it OK to join two 2" dry vents in my attic using a 3" tee (with 2" reducers). A 3" vent pipe would then be connected to the same 3" tee and exit through the roof. I would like to do this solution instead of cutting two separate holes in the roof for the two 2" vents to exit. Is this...
