    Sunrise fits
For over a month now at sunrise my dog acts very frantic. He usually only acts like this during a thunderstorm are fireworks display. He's never acted like this before he scratches at the floor begs moans. He is also shedding more than often he's an American Eskimo. He is also 13 human years. I don't know what to do.

Are you saying he's having seizures?

If he's simply afraid, ask your Vet for something to calm him - a calming vest, medication, something else. My GSD is very afraid of firecrackers, thunder, loud noises. I make certain that the bedroom door is open with a window air conditioner on and radio playing, and she finds peace in there.

As far as the shedding, what does your Vet say?
    This is shedding season.

He has always been afraid of loud noises but at 5am every morning as soon as the sun rises he is frantic and sometimes at night when all is calm.

Well in order to do the right thing you're going to have to handle it... seizing to death is not a zen way of dying
