    Foot injury
My daughter tripped and landed on a plastic bottle with the side of her barefoot. She has a lump on the bottom and side of her foot. Should we wait and see if it goes down or seek medical treatment?

When did this happen? What have you done since it happened (applied ice, heat, gave medication etc?). Can she walk on it? Can she move the foot?

It happened this morning. She applied ice and elevation that's all. She can move it, but hard to walk on it. She's icing again right now. There is no bruising just a lump on the bottom and side.

Is it a lump or swelling?

Has it gone down any since icing it? If not, it's not swelling, and I would definitely see a doctor about it.

This is really one of those things that's your call as the parent. I can tell you that if it were me, I'd take her in just to be on the safe side. I think it can wait until tomorrow, no need to rush to emergency, but see your regular doctor tomorrow.

Keep icing it, maybe alternate between ice and heat, keep it elevated, and if it hurts you can give her some children's tylenol so she can sleep.

That's what I would do, but my post is by no means a diagnosis, or a prescription, it's simply what I would do, and what I have done when something similar has happened, on advice by a doctor (which I'm not).
