    Meteorologist help: Regional Weather Impact!
Explain the regional weather differences between you two cities. Possible explanation for your region may include: distance from the equator, lake effect, wind currents, proximity to volcanoes, mountain ranges, elevation etc. Be sure to explain what these effects are and how they affect the climate in the cities you have chosen.
The cities I have chosen to track for 20 days are Toronto and (San Jose, Costa Rica.)
I know that Costa Rica is much closer to the equator not sure how much though. I also don't know what it means by proximity to volcanoes, mountain ranges and elevation as I have tried to search but was unsuccessful.
    Please Help!

Create a chart on MSWord. List the characteristics down the left side and have two columns, each headed by a city. Fill in the cells.

    Proximity means "how close to."

Have you tried looking at Google Maps for each city to see landforms, etc. For instance, is either city near a volcano or a body of water or a mountain range? That's why I suggested the chart and filling it out, to get your ducks in a row.

    Professional meteorologists cannot help you?

No, that is what YOU figure out, the regional temperature/weather differences after you look at each city's range of temps for a year.

How often does San Jose get sleet and snow? If you want a year-round tan and be outdoors in warm weather all the time, which city would you live in?

San Jose does not experiennce any sumer or winter like conditionns. I t has a temperate climat it fluctuates between 14-27 degrees and it only has 2 months. II thiknk you would want to live in San Jose iif you would want a tan because of its close distance from the equator.

So continue on in that vein and think about both cities while using the parameters the assignment insists on.
