How do you evict an adult family member who agreeed to pay utilities but was inconsis
How do you evict an adult family member guest (brother) who agreeed to pay utilities but was inconsistent. I invited my brother to live at the property summer of 2010. He is staying in my 13 y/o daughters room (we are not there relocation issues) it was agreed he would help maintain the property until he could get a job and get on his feet. He finally got a job jan 2011 he worked until june/ July 2011 he quit his job when our father passed July 2011. After he got money from parents ins policy he took off to Philippines to see a girl he met on the internet 3 different times from jan 2012 to April of 2013. Leaving behind his cats and bird. The cats have destroyed the bedroom with vomit, urine and feces. We want him out inaddition my 13 y/o has been allowed to relocate and we need the room I have asked him to leave but he refuses. Do I have any recourse?

The same way you evict anyone. Since there was no agreement to pay rent, you have to give him a written vacate notice. The amount of time you need to give him depends on local laws and you didn't tell us where you are.

If he refuses to leave by the deadline, when the deadline is reached you go to your local housing court to obtain an eviction order.

In Florida you have to give 15 days notice prior to when rent is due. Since there is no rent due date I think you can give 15 days notice.
