    Adoption
Well my husband and myself have a 2 year old son from a previous relationship his biological father has never been around since the beginning of pregnancy he doesn't call he doesn't give money he doesn't visit nothing and he's not on the birth certificate my husband has been there since day one! Nd has provided him the best life he can possibly have. Know he wants to adopt him to were he can have his last name? Will this be hard to do in the city of sacramento? What and were would we have to start?

This question has been asked many times here. By not putting the bio father on the birth certificate you have made things harder on yourself. The courts will require that the father be identified and contacted to allow the adoption.

Where you start is by finding a Family Law attorney who can prepare the adoption petition properly and make it ironclad.

You could have listed him on the birth certificate. Though he could have refused to acknowledge paternity.

All the more reason you need an attorney. You will have to show that you tried to find him. An attorney will be able to tell you what you need to do to satisfy the court that you made a good faith effort to find him.
