Female Jack Russel from peeing on all my rugs
How can I stop my female Jack Russel from peeing on all my rugs I put down? I even tryd to spray the spot she went on with vinegar and water. And she only does it sometimes. She is also potty trained.

How old is she? Is this a new behavior or one she has always done this? Has she been to a vet to make sure nothing medical is going on?

What does "potty trained" mean? Pee pads? Going outside? Lots of walks?

I have a JRT, and she tends to do this in the winter time, rarely. She just doesn't want to go out much with her short little legs and all the snow. She goes on a tiny rug in front of the toilet (supposed to be for my bare feet in the middle of the cold night), I guess in an effort to do what I do.
If it's cold where you are, take her out for 30 seconds a lot more often for a quick pee.
And put away all those little rugs until spring.

When did this start?
A 5 year old dog that's potty trained, suddenly urinating in the house, that's a trip to the vet first and foremost. Any change in behavior is always a trip to the vet to rule out anything medical.
If the vet check comes back clean (urine test, and any other tests the vet recommends) then we look at changes in the home, or a behavior issue. But right now I'd guess medical.
I would like to ask.
Is she spayed?
How long have you had her? The entire 5 years, or is she a rescue?
Any changes in the home, ie: new pet, moving, new child, new people?

Did this behavior start shortly after the new people moved in?
If so, I'd guess that's what's causing this.
Go back to basics, as if you're potty training a new puppy. Make sure that anything she pees on is cleaned up and sanitized immediately. If you catch her in the act, a firm "NO!" and then take her directly outside. You'll have to go with her when she goes out to potty. Use a potty word "potty time" and when she goes, tons of praise, a treat, act like she just won the lottery. Make sure she knows that going outside to pee is very very good, but when she pees inside, just a firm no, clean it up, and then take her outside.
Dogs want positive attention. They will do anything for that positive attention.
Have you ruled out medical issues? Has she seen a vet?
Last question.
Why isn't she spayed?
