    Burners not igniting
When I turn my unit on, the igniter glows but burners never come on. Igniter glows at bottom portion only. I've cleaned flame sensor. What else could cause burners not to light?

It seems extremely odd that only the bottom portion of the ignitor would glow. The only explanation I can offer for that is either the warm up time is too short or the control is not putting full (115-120 volts) voltage to the ignitor. If the ignitor were cracked, it shouldn't glow at all.

You would be surprised, Grady. Some of these newer style HSI's can act just like this.

Hard, do as Grady suggested and check for correct voltage to the igniter when it should be glowing. If correct voltage is there, start by replacing the igniter.

Never seen an ignitor do that, at least not a silicon carbide. Will the siicon nirtides do it?
