Hello its my 3rd day . I have not got my periods yet . I had a fear of being pregnant. Please suggest. Help me. m very tensed about this

If you are only 3 days late you are going to have to wait a lot longer to take a test.

I assume this was not a one time event that was already several weeks ago?

3rd day of what? Since you missed your period? If you had penile insertion there is always the risk of pregnancy. No form of birth control is 100%. If you have a fear of getting pregnant then keep your legs closed.

At this point, since I assume you had sex, you have to wait until a week or two after you miss your period to take a test.

I had short sexual intercourse and my period date was to be 4 th of this month so I am bit worried whether I am going to be pregnant or not

WHen was that... 3 days ago... 3 weeks ago?

You had sex... you can therefore get pregnant (protected or not)... if you had this 3 weeks ago take a HPT and find out... if it was a lot less time ago... wait a few more weeks then take a HPT and find out.

At 4 weeks after you had sex... you can consider a negative result as being accurate.

You might get a good positive earlier... but negatives earlier than that might be false negatives.

I mean t ask is there any risk.. of getting pregnant.. this is 3rd day and I have not got my period m bit worried and I am irritated to this that why I haven't got my period.I often take headache pills .

THere is ALWAYS a risk of pregnancy when you have sex... ALWAYS... even if you use the Pill AND use condoms both. I can point you to a Moderator who is a Regiatered Nurse who works in Obstetrics that has happened to TWICE.

The only thing that changes is how likely is it... the only form of birth control that is 100% effective is complete abstinance... everything else carries a risk.

It doesn't matter what day of your cycle you are on... some women get pregnant DURING their period... and every other day too. There are NO "safe" days, only more or less likely days.

As we have both told you, whenever there is penile insertion there is the risk of pregnancy. The only way to tell for sure if you are pregnant is to wait about 2 weeks AFTER you miss your period and take a pregnancy test following the instructions for the test.
