    Looking for a movie
    Looking for a movie that I had seen only one time, many years ago in the 70's or 80's.

    A husband and wife move into a charming older home with a walk in attic on the third floor. The attic contains old artifacts one of which is a wedding dress on a manican. When the wife desires to put it on she is transferred back in time to the time of the dress (1800's I think.).

    Through many other circumstances she stays in that time. When the husband (in the current time period) realizes he has lost his wife he wants to move out of the house. Upon moving he discovers an old portrait in the attic of his wife and her husband and children. She is wearing the necklace in the portrait that he had given her.

    There are more details but this is the main idea of the movie.
