I'm nineteen and I've been with this guy for a month, we've had sex but it was always protected. Right now, though, my period is late and I'm beginning to get paranoid about possibly being pregnant. I've known this guy for three years, and I know he wouldn't leave me, but that's not really my problem. I'm about to go into my second year of uni and, as a student, I don't know if I would even be able to afford to have a child. It doesn't help that my uni is about 300 miles away from my parents, as well as about 200 miles from my boyfriend. If I am pregnant, I won't get an abortion - unless medically necessary - but I don't know whether I should give up my baby for fostering/adoption. Help?

Sometimes, stressing can cause a period to be missed. It happened to a former girlfriend I had, she was stressing over things and went about 60 days between a period. Good luck.

You had sex... protected or not you still have a chance of getting pregnant.

We have several prominent members here who have gotten pregnant despite using multiple forms of birth control... one more than once.

As far as adoption... thats a difficult and deeply personal choice only you can make. It's a decision you will live with for life.

Don't put the cart before the horse. Stressing can cause a late or missed period. Before you begin to figure out what you are going to do IF you are pregnant, find out if you ARE pregnant first.
