    Lease fraud
My husband and I have been separated for 4 years.

How can I find out if he used my personal information to rent his current apartment?

If he did this, he did not have my consent. Can I go to the leasing office and ask the landlord if my information is on the lease?

Can I sue for fraud, identify theft after or during divorce?

    Please help

So you figure he told them he was you?

What "personal information" do you figure he used? Social Security number? Income figures? Bank account numbers? Date of birth? Shoe size?

What makes you think he may have done so?

And how has this adversely affected you? Do you think you may be obligated on the lease?

Unless he listed you as an occupant or co-tenant, why does this matter? The only way this affects you is if you are responsible for the lease in any way.

You can contact the landlord and ask if you are listed as an occupant or co-tenant.

    If they asked
    1. are you married ?

2 if they asked for your wife's current info.

He has the right to do all for this, if there is no legal ( though court) separation. Since if ypu are just living apart, he is legally still your husband.

So unless he was listing you as responible for payment, he can as legal husband still list you as his wife.

But yes if you are listed, you can call and ask them.
