Was I attacked by a ghost or was it sleep paralysis?
I live in an almost 100 year old house and I know that there are ghosts that haunt it. I've never felt anything demonic except for the experience I had the other night when I was sleeping.
It had to have been around 11:30 at night and I was dead asleep but I felt as though I woke up because I could see that my bedroom door was open when I know I shut it before I went to bed. And all the sudden this noise as though I was standing next to a train except without the horn started going off in my head and I was somehow laying sideways in the bed and I could feel something pulling me back towards my wall. I even felt the bottom of my foot hit the wall. I was so panicked I tried to make a cross with my fingers but whatever it was that grabbed me was pulling my fingers apart. The noise stopped so I went to go grab my sleeping 7 month old son to make sure he was OK but the noise started up again and I was pulled back once more. I was beyond scared. Once it all stopped I was so disoriented I couldn't even figure out which way I was laying in bed. I looked at my door and it was shut so I'm so confused if it was all a dream or if I was attacked by a ghost or if it was simply just sleep paralysis.

If it had been sleep paralysis you would have been absolutely immobile in bed with no sense of moving and frozen in place, afraid to look right or left. So rule that out.
From your description I would have to say it was a dream, or nightmare, what have you.
If it had been an entity planning harm then you would have been a lot more damaged then you thought you had been.
Hauntings are not all a menace. Tappings on walls, objects being moved is all they can do, they no strength to go further then this; doors being opened and closed is all they can do; they can't open a door and rush in and do harm. Most don't want to, they just want a human contact again and some possibly think they are still on our plain.

Could be either or even both. What else leads you to believe there are ghosts

Things in my house will go missing for no reason only to show up days later in a random spot. I was laying in bed one night and it was around 4 o'clock in the morning and I heard a woman cry "no don't go, no don't go, no don't go". I've also seen a greenish blue glow underneath my door and there is no explanation for it. One day I was taking a shower and I was rinsing my hair out and I saw a shadow of a hand on the wall in front of me. My sister was walking down the stairs one night and she was talking to me and both my friend and I that I was with at the time heard a voice tell her to "shhh". There are many more weird unexplainable things that have happened but those are the ones that stand out most in my memory.

Ok... we were just curious. Yes, you very well may have a spirit in the home. Do you want it gone?

Well, I offer biblical advice here... and the bible clearly tells us how to deal with unwanted spiritual forces. If you want it gone, I recommend that you talk to a local church. I recommend the Full Gospel churches.
While I respect Tickle's advice, I disagree with it. I believe all hauntings are a spiritual danger to any individual and I never recommend having an unwanted spirit around.

A friend of mine described briefly to me what this was. It was briefly because she had only heard about it and didn't have much info. Could someone tell me more about it or where I can go to learn more? Thanks in advance.
