    Growth spine problems
    I had back surgery when I was fifteen so I just wanted to know does your spine stop growing when you stop?

    What? Are you asking if your spine keeps growing until you die OR if it stops growing when the rest of your body stops growing?

    Of course it stops growing when you stop growing. All bone growth stops at the same time, between 14 and 25.

    I don't understand why you would think all bone growth stops except for your spine.

    Didn't your Physician explain any of this to you? In my area it's very unusual for spinal surgery to be performed before the person finishes growing.

    Well in my case it HAD to be performed it was a Life or death situation and No my physician didn't tell me that at all

    Just imagine what would happen if you stopped growing and your spine didn't. You would probably grow a tail or you spine would go through your brain instantly killing you.

    Then I would ask - obviously in a life and death situation there's no other choice but it would seem that how long your spine would keep growing would be a very basic thing to answer.
