Yes, depending on how much the overdose was there is a danger of overdose. That's why it's prescribed by weight.

Did you call the manufacturer or your Vet or the emergency Vet clinic and ask?

Yes they said it should be OK as the weight difference was not real far apart. I was wondering if anyone else ever did something like this. It would make me fell better knowing it went OK for someone else. I question the answer I received. I guess I don't always believe everything I am told these days if you know what I mean.

Who told you it would be okay? The manufacturer or your vet?

I'll join in with Alty - who said it was all right?

I'm like a hawk when it comes to medicine (the dogs' medications, mine). I do know it's by weight for a reason.

Sounds like it's all right and you've learned a lesson about reading labels and bottles. My late husband was a Pharmacist and he had absolute horror stories of customers who took medication without turning on a light and grabbed the wrong bottle, forgot the took the dose and took it a second time, all sorts of things.

I read the labels every time.

Does your dog seem to be all right?

Is it a tick ? [ 7 Answers ]

Today we went to a local park and spent quite a bit of time in the woods. This evening as I sat watching TV I felt something on my leg and looked down to see a little 'bug' on my thigh. It looked like a small spider with a round body. It was medium brown and had 8 legs, I believe. I was...
